Find out more →Stump Grinding
Mechanical stump removal down below ground level, ready to replant or turf.
Find out more →Rope Access & Rigging
Climbing and rigging for trees in tight, sensitive or hard-to-reach spots.
Find out more →Our own chipper, our own rigging
Every job goes out with the same wood chipper, ropes and rigging gear you can see on our van — nothing hired in at the last minute. That means arisings get processed and cleared on the day, and awkward trees near sheds, greenhouses or fences get taken down in controlled sections rather than dropped whole.

From call to clear-up
1. You call or message us
Tell us what needs doing and roughly where — we'll ask a few questions about the tree or hedge and access to the garden.
2. Site visit & quote
For most jobs we'll come and look in person, check whether the tree is protected or in a conservation area, and give you a clear price.
3. Work carried out
Climbing, rigging or machine access as the job needs, with the chipper running to process material as we go.
4. Site cleared & tidied
Arisings chipped and removed, the area swept down, and logs stacked if you'd like to keep them for firewood.

Frequently asked
Do I need permission to fell or prune a tree?
It depends on whether the tree is protected. Trees within a conservation area or covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) usually need written consent from the local planning authority before any work goes ahead. We can check this with you before quoting and handle the notification where needed.
What's the best time of year for tree surgery?
Most pruning and crown work can be carried out year-round. Some species are best avoided in certain seasons — for example, work on trees prone to bleeding sap is often timed outside their peak growth period. We'll advise on timing when we assess the tree.
Do you clear away the arisings and waste?
Yes. Site clearance and removal of branches, brash and timber is part of the job unless you'd prefer to keep logs for firewood, which we're happy to leave stacked on request.
Can you access gardens with limited space or difficult access?
That's where rope access and rigging comes in. We climb and rig trees in tight rear gardens, near greenhouses, glasshouses and boundary fences, lowering sections down under control rather than relying on machine access.
Do you grind stumps flush or below ground?
Stump grinding takes the stump down below ground level so the area can be turfed, planted or paved over, rather than just cutting it flush at the surface.
